How is SmartLipo Triplex different from other forms of laser lipolysis?

SmartLipo Triplex is the most advanced laser assisted lipolysis system on the market. SmartLipo Triplex is unique because it includes 3 laser wavelengths - 1064 nm, 1320 nm, and the 1440 nm. The wavelengths can be used independently or combined, thus allowing your surgeon to customize treatment that is right for each patient.

The 1440 nm wavelength has the highest absortion rate of fatty tissue of any other wavelength on the market. The added energy comes with added safety that includes the Thermaguide intelligent delivery system which prevents overheating of the tissue, thus minimizing comlications.

Who is a good candidate for Smart Lipo/Power Assisted Liposuction?

The ideal patient is one who is in good health, has an active lifestyle, has pockets of fat they wish to remove, and has realistic expectations. The surgery is typically not suitable for patients with diabetes, liver problems, blood disorders, kidney problems, or heart problems. A medical screening will be done at the consultation to determine if you are an ideal candidate.

What body regions can be treated?

The surgery is ideal for removing fat on the abdomen, flanks (love handles), jowls, neck, inner and outer thighs, gluteal fold, hips, knees, arms, male breasts (gynecomastia), and bra roll.

Are fat cells permanently removed?

Fat cells that are removed during surgery are gone forever. However, if a patient gains weight the fat cells that remain in the area treated with liposuction and in areas that were not treated will grow. Patients should commit themselves to a healthy lifestyle to ensure the best results.

Does SmartLipo Triplex or Power Assisted Liposuction remove cellulite and/or stretch marks?

Although neither SmartLipo nor Power Assisted Liposuction are designed as treatments for cellulite and/or stretch marks, many patients who have had SmartLipo Triplex have seen improvements in both cellulite and stretch marks. Aspasia offers cellulite treatments using the Tri-Active system. However, there is no proven cure for cellulite at this time.

When do I see the results?

Results can be seen as soon as the swelling begins to subside; typically within a week. The treated areas will appear compact and smaller. Over the next several weeks, the skin around the treated areas will remodel and adjust to the contours of your body. The skin remodeling is a gradual process and the best results are seen after 3-6 months. Cosmetically speaking, successful liposuction is measured in inches rather than pounds.
