IPL Procedure
Cool gel is applied to the treatment area. The IPL hand piece is floated over the area and when engaged, emits an intense light in a series of pulses or flashes.
When the pulse of light is delivered, the sensation is similar to a snap of a rubber band. After treatment, the gel is removed, the skin cleansed, and a sunscreen is applied.
IPL Recovery
For sensitive skin, a cool compress or aloe gel may be applied following treatment. Treatment may vary from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated.
There is no downtime and make up can be applied immediately!
Chemical Peel Procedure
The application of chemical peels is a simple 2-3 step process, depending on the strength of the peel. With all Skinmedica peels, the skin is first cleansed with a prepping solution. Next the chemical solution is evenly applied to skin. With the Vitalize and Rejuvenize Peels, the peel solution is followed by the application of a retenoic acid. Patients may feel a light to moderate burning sensation. The entire procedure takes less than 30 minutes.
Chemical Peel Recovery
Depending on the type of peel used, patient will experience mild redness to several days of skin sloughing off.
