Procedure and Recovery for Fillers & Injectables
Botox
The administration of Botox involves a few tiny injections directly into the muscle. Botox relaxes the contraction of the muscle by blocking nerve impulses. This results in the relaxing and softening of wrinkles since the muscle can no longer contract.
The physician will then ask patient to contract facials muscles to determine the best location for the injections.

There is no downtime. There may be some slight swelling at the injection site.
Dermal Fillers
The physician will examine the areas to be treated and then given an injectable anesthesia at the site of the injections.
Administration involves using a small needle to inject the dermal filler directly into the mid to deep dermis to fill the wrinkle or fold to “plump up” the area. The injections typically take less than 30 minutes. Results are seen immediately.
There is no downtime. There will be swelling at the injection sites that typically subsides in a couple of days.
Fat Grafting
Patients need to schedule a consultation to discuss areas of concern. A medical exam will determine if they are a good candidate for the procedure. The surgery will be scheduled at a later date.
The procedure involves harvesting small amounts of fat from the abdomen or thighs and injecting it as little droplets throughout the treatment areas.
The treated area will be injected with a local anesthesia and patients will be given an oral sedation. Downtime is minimal and patients should be able to resume their regular activities within a couple of days.
