Face/Neck Lift

Face lift surgery, also known as rhytidectomy, improves visible signs of aging from the face and neck including tightening skin and reducing wrinkles, giving patients a more youthful appearance.

With face lift surgery, an incision is made behind and in front of the ears then the skin is lifted and pulled back from the face. Underlying fat and muscle is separated from the skin and sutures are used to lift and reposition the muscle (SMAS). Once the muscle is tightened and repositioned, excess skin is removed and incisions are closed.

Neck Lifts are performed in the same manner as face lifts but focuses entirely on the neck and jawline.

Recovery

Recovery time is typically between 1-2 weeks, depending on the extent of the procedure. After the first few days, patients can gradually start to resume normal activities. Most patients can return to work in 1 – 2 weeks. Patient will need to avoid strenuous activities for at least one month following surgery.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharosplasty, removes the excess skin and redistributes fat from both upper and/or lower lids resulting in a more youthful appearance and a firmer eye area.

  • Upper eyelid – Droopy upper eyelids can be corrected through an incision within the natural crease of the upper eyelid.
  • Lower eyelid – Excess skin of the lower eyelids can be corrected with an incision just below the lower lash line. A transconjuctional incision, one hidden inside the lower eyelid is also an option.
    • Recovery

Rest is recommended for at least a week following eyelid surgery. Patients will experience swelling, bruising, and some discomfort during the first 3-5 days following surgery. Patients are able return to work 1week following surgery.

      Ear Surgery

Ear Surgery, also known as otoplasty, is a common surgical procedure performed to correct the size and shape of ears or to pin back ears that protrude from the head. Many patients undergoing the procedure are children, as the ears are fully grown between the ages of 4-6, but many adults have the surgery done as well.

      Recovery

Patients can begin to resume activities within 2-3 days.

      Fat Transfer

Fat transfer, also known as fat grafting, is the process of harvesting small amounts of fat from one part of a patient’s body and using it to increase the volume in another area. This fat can be implanted to the lips, the nasolabial folds, the under eye areas, the cheeks, and other parts of the face and body.

With fat grafting, anywhere from 10% to 50% of the fat may be absorbed by the body. Repeated treatments may be required.

      Recovery

Some patients report mild or moderate bruising. Swelling is common and most of will go down within 24 - 72 hours and be completely gone after 1-2 weeks.
